Our Opportunity: Chewy is looking for a Software Engineer I to join the Fulfillment and Logistics technology team in Minneapolis, MN. We’re seeking Software Engineers to help shape the future of our Outbound Services and Technology organization. Engineering plays a critical role in defining and implementing our roadmap. We set high standards for delivering production-ready code by adopting CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) and DevOps engineering standard methodologies. Our engineers are encouraged to contribute ideas and code to our platform as well as to collaborate with partner teams. What You’ll Do: Apply algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to produce efficient and high-performance code. Develop, extend, and debug code within the scope of the team’s existing tools and services. Complete straightforward design and debugging tasks. Identify root causes and implement solutions for bugs and production issues. Contribute to the team’s standard processes for logging, testing, instrumentation, metrics, monitoring, alerts, practices, and procedures. Make significant contributions to the team’s existing service architecture, data architecture, DevOps, infrastructure as code, deployment pipelines, and public cloud services as part of a software development team. Participate in on-call rotations and uphold operational excellence. What You’ll Need: 1+ years of Software Engineering experience. Experience building, deploying, testing APIs and micro services. Experience in Java and frameworks such as Spring boot. Experience with Postgres or other database. Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or similar technical field of study preferred), or equivalent work experience. Bonus: Experience in e-commerce, supply chain, fulfillment, transportation, or logistics. Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms. Experience developing CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tool. Apply now to join this highly collaborative team! The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
