Job Description: We’re seeking a skilled painter to handle the prep and paint process for custom BBQ trailers. This role requires precision, creativity, and attention to detail. You’ll work on one-of-a-kind builds, applying professional paint jobs that make each trailer stand out
Responsibilities:
● Prep surfaces on BBQ trailers and grills for paint, including sanding, grinding, masking, and cleaning.
● Mix and apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat using HVLP spray systems or other equipment.
● Inspect painted surfaces and correct any runs, drips, or other imperfections.
● Maintain paint booth cleanliness, equipment, and safety protocols.
● Collaborate with fabricators and welders to align paint work with custom features.
● Wire trailer lighting and electric brake systems (basic 7-pin trailer wiring).
● Ensure jobs are completed on time and to high-quality standards.
Requirements:
● 2+ years of experience in automotive or trailer painting (custom experience is a plus).
● Strong knowledge of surface prep, masking, and spray painting techniques.
● Experience working with various types of paint, including urethanes and enamels.
● Detail-oriented with an eye for quality and consistency.
● Basic knowledge of trailer wiring and brake systems is strongly preferred.
● Ability to lift and maneuver equipment and work in a hands-on environment.
● Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
