Paint Line Loader/Unloader

• Moving large and small product from weld cells to paint conveyor with use of cranes.
• Ensure product has been inspected before loading.
• Ensure product has been fully painted before unloading.
• Ensure smooth and precise operation of overhead cranes.
• Attaching and detaching hooks.
• Check product surfaces before painting and ensure product is fully painted
• Masking and unmasking plugs from threaded areas.
• Follow scheduling dates to meet production goals.
• Adapt to 6S / Lean Manufacturing.
• Work efficiently and effectively on diversified tasks.
• Complete documentation as required by management.
• Perform quality work.
• Keep work area neat and organized.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills:

• Able to lift a maximum of 50lbs.
• Capable of completing daily crane inspections.
• Work with little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication.
• The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and work on raised platforms.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

• Work in compliance with the provisions of the OSHA, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
• Using or wearing the equipment, PPE that Blue Giant requires.
• Reporting to his or her supervisor any contravention of the OSHA, regulations, or Blue Giant policies and procedures.
• Reporting any observed hazards to the supervisor.
• Reporting any risks or potential risks of violence or harassment encountered in the workplace immediately to supervisor.
• Not removing or making ineffective any protective device without providing an adequate temporary substitute. When the work is completed, the original protective device must be replaced immediately.
• Not using or operating any equipment, machine, device or thing or otherwise working in a manner that may endanger anyone.
• Knowing, understanding and implementing safe work practices and procedures.
• Attend all required Health and Safety training programs (ex: WHMIS, orientation), and applying knowledge to daily operating procedures at Blue Giant.

• 6 months to 3 years related experience or manufacturing setting experience.
• Overhead crane experience.

• Minimum Grade 12 education
