Position Title Tenure-Track, Psychology (Open Rank) About the Position Department of Psychology & Neuroscience in the College of Arts and Sciences at North Central College invites applications for a tenure‑track position in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, to begin August 1, 2026. Department Psychology and Neuroscience Faculty Status Exempt; Full‑time Tenure‑Track Faculty Duties Provide instruction for a variety of Psychology courses, including Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Personality, Psychological Assessment, and/or Research Design and Experimentation, carrying a teaching load of 20 credits per academic year. Assess students’ work and provide detailed feedback to improve content knowledge, critical thinking skills, oral and written communication skills, etc. Develop curricula for courses, minors, graduate certificates, and potential majors in Industrial/Organizational Psychology by coordinating with other academic departments to meet student needs across disciplines. Mentor undergraduate students through one‑on‑one and group interactions, as well as internship and independent study opportunities. Engage students in research as applicable. Attend conferences and workshops to remain active in the field(s) of study; engage with the department to further develop teaching and mentoring skills; complete campus‑wide training required by the Offices of Academic Affairs and Human Resources. Pursue current and new research activities in the field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, including new research projects, writing/dissemination of current and future research, and presentation of research at conferences. Perform other departmental duties and attend activities as necessary, including attending department meetings and participating in committees, task forces, and other required functions. Basic Qualifications Completed a doctorate in Psychology. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and ongoing scholarship.
