PPS is seeking a goal-oriented individual for a fantastic opportunity as an Automatic Machine Operator at our wiring manufacturing facility in North Royalton. No experience is required! We offer paid training to strong candidates who are interested in growing and advancing within our company. This is a full-time permanent position with benefits and a high ceiling for growth! Responsibilities: Weld collars, vents and/or cups onto wire cages using resistance welders Checks cages for broken welds Assemble boxes for finished product Load finished cages into boxes and moves them into the shipping area Report any problems to the Production Line Foreman Take broken cages to welding booth for repair Load trucks as needed General upkeep of work area Other duties assigned as needed The Ideal Candidate Will Possess: Ability to stand for long periods, use hands, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, reach, lift up to 50 pounds, and use foot to step on foot peddle Visual ability required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations Ability to use resistance welder and/or pneumatic stapler (training is provided)
