Position Summary This position provides reliability engineering support to technology qualification programs and operational excellence initiatives, focusing on achieving superior product reliability and availability through RCM principles and robust design practices.

LOCATION:

Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required. Duties And Responsibilities ESSENTIAL: Technology Development Support: Contribute to new technology development programs by planning and implementing reliability and technology qualification activities. Design for Reliability: Collaborate with technology development teams to ensure reliability is designed into equipment, utilizing Design for Reliability (DfR) tools and methodologies. RCM Integration: Apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to guide the development of maintenance strategies and optimize system availability. Failure Analysis & Testing: Identify and validate testing requirements for new technologies; lead internal testing initiatives including verification and validation activities. Workshops Facilitation: Technology Maturity Assessment (TMA): Facilitate workshops on Technology Maturity Assessment through Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and Technical Risk Categorization (TRC) scores. Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA): Lead workshops with cross-functional teams to carry out Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis. Hazard Analysis: Facilitate Hazard Analysis workshops to identify potential hazards and mitigate associated risks. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze field failure data, manage reliability data collection programs, and update FMECAs and reliability analyses to track reliability growth. Reliability Modeling: Develop reliability models using methods such as Reliability Block Diagram (RBD), Event Tree Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Load-Strength Interference to predict component and system reliability. Accelerated Life Testing: Identify accelerated life testing requirements and develop test plans to assess component robustness. RAM Analysis: Prepare Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analysis reports, contributing to project performance evaluations. Support for Reliability Demonstration Tests: Monitor reliability demonstration tests, analyze results, and recommend corrective actions as needed.

NON-ESSENTIAL:

Other duties as assigned. Qualifications REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science or equivalent degree. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an engineer. Strong mathematical and statistical background. Experience in handling equipment failures arising during manufacture and/or operations. Knowledge of processes for designing, manufacturing, assessing and assuring reliability performance in projects and/or operations is required.

DESIRED:

Experience leading / facilitating FMECA workshops is strongly desired. Master's or Doctorate degree in Reliability Engineering is a plus. Experience developing system reliability models for repairable and non-repairable systems is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics.
