This role is responsible to work independently to display and stock products; to ensure that you contribute to the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, this role is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, as well as complying with company guidelines for safety and food safety. Duties include greeting customers and answering questions regarding product content, use and price; receiving, inspecting and verifying incoming stock; arranging shelves and floor displays by changing, rotating and pricing products; monitoring ongoing inventory, assisting with cycle counts, determining stocking needs, coding merchandise, checking product in display for quality by visually inspecting product and removing distressed merchandise; entering merchandise data into the system to update files and generate reports; reconciling daily receipts with daily sales reports when required; processing customer purchases promptly and courteously through the use of a cash register and/or scanning equipment; observing customers and checking identification for proof-of-age; maintaining a clean and orderly work area including sales floor and backroom areas; assisting in maximizing product sales by offering product information and providing selling suggestions; following all PPE and Safety Guidelines, Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations, and Guest Experience Guidelines; and may be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Physical requirements include lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods, bending, stooping, twisting and turning frequently, exposure to varied temperatures and outside weather conditions, and working in a low to moderate noise environment. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
