University Security Officer - Access Control & Bike Patrol Officer

Pay: $19.75 per hour to start
Schedule: (FT 40 HRS PER WEEK) 11PM - 7AM Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 

Qualifications:

• Active Connecticut State Guard Card REQUIRED
• Active Connecticut State Driver's License - Reliable transportation & Clean Motor Vehicle History
• High School Diploma or GED 
• 2 years of Security Experience REQUIRED - Military/ Law Enforcement experience may substitute
• Calm, polite, and professional demeanor.
• Reliable and self-motivated with high level customer service
• Bicycle Riding Required

 

Seeking a security officer who is willing to check identification cards, secure entrances, monitor cameras, maintain logbook entries and report any issues to the shift supervisor. University Patrol officers are expected to be able to stand for prolonged periods, walk long distances outdoors (6-8 miles each shift), be comfortable with incident report writing, bike patrol, be comfortable with driving SUVs on site, respond to calls and interact with the campus community.

The Bike Patrol Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, which may include operating a bicycle to perform patrol, inspections, and/or incident response services. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

The Bike Patrol Officer maintains the security and safety of sites by conducting patrol services and Security Officer duties within a mobile operation.
