ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Bakersfield, California.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement with 4 shifts out of 4 week schedule
\n• Weekend shifts for nights are Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday for days
\n• Required to work 1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday per permanent staff rotation schedule
\n• First to float to other units including 2W MedSurg remote tele, MedSurg SW, ICU for tele holds, or ER holds
\n• May float between facilities under same license
\n• Must report within 30 minutes if placed on standby/call
\n• Patient ratio of 1:4
\n• Work on 31-bed telemetry unit (11 private and 10 semi-private rooms)
\n• Must be able to read and interpret all cardiac rhythms using Phillips telemetry system
\n• Care for patients including post pacer, hemodialysis, new onset afib, stepdown from ICU, surgical patients, urology patients, oncology with cardiac monitoring, strokes, TBI, and sepsis patients
\n• Handle CPAP or BiPAP ventilation support per respiratory therapy
\n• Use Cerner electronic medical record system
\n• Navy blue scrubs required with matching jacket and navy, white, or black undershirts
\n• Floor-specific orientation includes 1-2 shifts with preceptor
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met but not guaranteed
\n• BSN degree not required
