\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Position eligible for 48 guaranteed hours
\n• Shift times: Day shift 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, Night shift 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
\n• Rotate through every 3rd weekend (sometimes every other if leave of absence)
\n• Patient ratio of 5-6:1
\n• Acute care hospital experience on Med/Surg or Telemetry type units required
\n• Kansas license required
\n• BLS certification required
\n• NIH certification preferred
\n• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
\n• Work with equipment including traction, external fixators, halos, walkers, gait belts, bed alarms, continuous pulse ox, remote telemetry monitoring
\n• Use Meditech EMR system
\n• Utilize iPhone 7 with Mobile Heartbeat program for team communication
\n• Perform wound care and dressing changes
\n• Work on a fast-paced med/surg acuity unit specializing in orthopedic injury, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and traumas
Facility:
\nThis healthcare facility features a 36-bed orthopedics and spine specialty unit with all private rooms, located on the 3rd floor of Tower A. The facility operates as a busy Level 2 trauma center with 2 freestanding emergency departments that feed into the unit, keeping it consistently busy and usually at capacity. The unit recently expanded from 26 to 36 beds due to growing volume in orthopedic and spine specialties. The organization boasts exceptional staff retention with 0% first-year RN turnover and only 7% total RN turnover compared to the 17% national average, along with increasing employee engagement year after year.
