\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts per week in Level I Trauma Emergency Department
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5 throughout all shifts
\n• 2 years of experience required (will review candidates with 1.5 years); Level I Trauma experience preferred
\n• Travel experience strongly preferred, however candidates with 2+ years Level I experience may be considered
\n• Weekend coverage required as needed (Saturday and Sunday days, Friday-Sunday nights)
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC before submission)
\n• New Mexico nursing license can be pending at time of submission
\n• No on-call requirements
\n• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional; floating to Adult PCUs is expected based on staffing needs
\n• Potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma areas
\n• Approximately 60%-80% of Emergency Department patients are admitted with many ED rooms serving as "ED Holding"
\n• Medication administration including IV medications, documentation, and clinical communication required
\n• Daily census of 170-200 patients with approximately 175 visits per day
\n• Work with 53 rooms and 68 beds
\n• 24-hour orientation period
\n• Black scrubs required (not provided)
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• No locals within 75 miles accepted
\n• Guaranteed contracted hours with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment

\nThis major academic medical center operates as a Level I Trauma Center and Children's Hospital with 554 staffed beds. The facility serves as a teaching hospital providing comprehensive acute care services and maintains certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The emergency department handles a high volume of complex cases with extensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation services.
