Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager develops and maintains an assigned Energy Systems sales territory. The Regional Sales Manager has the responsibility to develop and execute a territory management plan that can encompass reactive (bid market) and/or proactive (negotiated business) relationships to grow and achieve territory sales objectives. This role acts as the primary customer contact and territory owner; building and managing relationships, executing on new growth strategies and capturing market share. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include special assignments as directed by the sales leadership team, engaging with marketing resources to introduce new products and programs to increase market share and brand awareness, providing feedback and recommendations on processes to improve profitability and the customer experience, maintaining and growing knowledge of product offerings and value proposition, providing voice of the customer feedback, communicating routinely with the Sales Leader, managing key sales activity and opportunity information in CRM/ERP, managing information to key internal personnel from customer systems, working with clients to develop programs and promotional opportunities to increase sales, acting as primary sales resource to customers and facilitating successful project outcomes, conducting market research and analyzing competitive landscape to identify opportunities, strengthening account relationships to grow product sales, developing new customer accounts, and developing and executing territory management plan. Minimal qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, 4+ years of successful sales territory development experience, and skills such as change management, entrepreneurial initiative, analytical capability, excellent communication skills, and sales acumen. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 7+ years successful solution sales and/or contractor sales experience. The position acts under the guidance of the Vice President of Sales.
