Job Description
This associate will work in and out of trailers, unloading cartons by hand and/or machine equipment, manual equipment, trolleys, etc. Depending on the complexity of the shipment, the Supervisor will decide the shipments sort path, if to be placed on conveyor lines or remain on pallets and moved elsewhere in the DC. There are openings on all 3 shifts. 1st shift pays $16.50, 2nd shift pays $18.00 and 3rd shift pays $19.50.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to use a manual pallet jack, flex conveyor, trolleys, and/or Power Equipment to remove merchandise from trailers
On occasion, works as a team to sort complex loads by PO or other means before sending cartons to the next stage of processing
Unloading trucks either by hand or with equipment
Maintain a clean work area
Adhere to safety procedures
Demonstrate the ability to understand RF screens and functions or complete receiving worksheets effectively
Meet production standards
Ensure fragile wording and symbols are facing outward

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs (boxes)
Good mathematical skills
Must be able to read and write in English to complete paperwork daily
Comfortable with working around a moving sorter/conveyor
May be required to pass PIT certification testing in some DCs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, on a concrete floor all day.
Requires continuous, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance is necessary.
Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands and lifting to 50 lbs.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
Requires filling out paperwork.
