Job Description
We’re hiring a Project Manager to join a well-established industrial electrical contractor based in San Marcos. Our primary work focuses on municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, and we're seeking someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, values accountability, and knows how to lead projects to successful, profitable outcomes. Electrical experience is a major plus.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage projects from start to finish with full awareness of scope, budget, and schedule.
- Build strong client relationships by being proactive, prepared, and treating stakeholders as partners.
- Create and drive three-week and three-month lookahead schedules.
- Champion jobsite safety—develop Job Hazard Analyses and enforce protocols.
- Own project financials—submit monthly billings, manage budgets, and support profitability.
- Understand project contracts, identify scope changes, and issue timely change notifications.
- Maintain critical project logs: change orders, procurement, submittals, RFIs, and POs.
- Develop timely work packages to support field foremen.
- Communicate clearly and consistently in writing with vendors, subs, and clients.
- Approve invoices and hold subcontractors accountable to contract terms.
- Be hands-on with estimating, budgeting, cost coding, and reporting.
- Prepare and present quarterly project status reports.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5+ years of experience in industrial or municipal electrical project management.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and scheduling.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver profitable projects.
- Proactive communicator and organized problem solver.
- Electrical experience or background strongly preferred.
