A leading and well-established clinical trial site in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a Clinical Research Physician / Principal Investigator to oversee and drive the success of our ongoing and upcoming clinical trials. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge research while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Principal Investigator, responsible for the safety and medical well-being of all study participants.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, ICH-GCP, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory standards, as well as study protocols and site SOPs.
  • Provide clinical oversight across trials and lead the medical team to maintain protocol integrity and subject safety.
  • Evaluate and screen potential participants to ensure eligibility and proper informed consent.
  • Lead participant retention efforts and contribute to timely and successful trial completion.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with sponsors, monitors, and internal teams to ensure seamless study execution.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all trial-related activities.
  • Conduct protocol and safety training for study staff; support ongoing education and compliance initiatives.
  • Attend Investigator Meetings and stay updated with clinical and regulatory developments.
  • Address clinical and operational issues to ensure trials are conducted effectively and ethically.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with an active Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, or Nephrology).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical research setting, or equivalent combination of research and medical experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, a commitment to ethical research, and a patient-centric mindset.
