Job Description

As a Security Officer - Defense Site Patrol in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment by conducting regular patrols and remaining highly visible throughout the premises. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those working in this dynamic setting. You will interact with employees and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to any security-related concerns. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas using a company vehicle. Thur 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

Fri 12:00 PM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activity according to site protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner as directed by site procedures.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related risks specific to an aerospace and defense environment and respond according to established protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions only.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
