Photo Retoucher Contract 4-5 Months / Onsite M-Th/ Remote F

Responsibilities:

Retouching and Enhancing Images:

• Execute advanced photo retouching techniques to ensure the highest quality images for various platforms, including e-commerce, print, and social media.
• Perform high-end retouching on product images, which may also include lifestyle photography.
• Remove blemishes, imperfections, and distractions from images.
• Enhance colors, tones, and contrast to achieve desired aesthetic.
• Adjust lighting and shadows to create depth and dimension.
• Ensure consistency in style and quality across all images and adhere to brand guidelines.
• Utilize software tools to enhance image quality, including color correction, exposure adjustments, and blemish removal.

Compositing and Manipulation:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of seamless compositing of multiple images to create one unique single image.
• Combine multiple images to create composite shots.
• Manipulate images to create special effects or alter the appearance of subjects and objects.
• Seamlessly integrate elements from different sources into a single image.

Color Correction and Grading:

• Correct color imbalances and inconsistencies in images.
• Apply color grading techniques to achieve a specific mood or style.
• Ensure accurate color reproduction across different media.

Quality Control:

• Thoroughly review and proof images for errors and inconsistencies.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the retouching process.
• Adhere to project deadlines.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the visual content specialist, multimedia team, and other creative team members to understand project requirements and provide feedback.
• Communicate effectively to understand expectations and address concerns.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of retouching techniques and processes.
• Incorporate feedback and make revisions as needed.

Software and Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and other relevant image editing software.
• Strong understanding of digital imaging principles and techniques.
• Familiar with various file formats and image resolution requirements.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and find solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest retouching trends and techniques.

File Management:

• Keep files organized and saved in the proper location using the proper naming convention.
• Work neatly, ensuring native files are cleanly organized.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience, 3-5 years, as a product photo retoucher with a strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality work (showing before and after of retouching).
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom, with a deep understanding of color correction, color theory, compositing, and image manipulation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, lighting and composition.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
