A confidential long-term acute care facility is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care and support nursing staff. This is a PRN role with variable shifts, ideal for candidates who value flexibility while gaining hands-on clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, hygiene, feeding, toileting, and repositioning.
Measure and record vital signs accurately, promptly reporting abnormal results.
Support patient mobility by transporting or assisting patients with walking.
Collect and deliver specimens (urine, stool, sputum) and perform point-of-care testing as delegated.
Prepare patient rooms for admissions and greet patients and families, explaining unit procedures.
Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, hallways, and supply areas; manage linen inventory.
Assist with fall-prevention interventions and patient restraints as directed by the RN.
Accurately document care and observations in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
MediClear certification or equivalent required.
Completion of a nursing assistant program preferred but not required.
No prior healthcare experience required—training provided.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
