Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our behavioral health team. This role involves conducting and reviewing patient assessments (ASAM, PHQ-9, BAM), determining appropriate levels of care for patients with co-occurring disorders, and providing clinical support to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counseling staff. Responsibilities include case reviews, care coordination, and crisis intervention when needed. Essential Responsibilities + Complete or review ASAM assessments to determine appropriate level of care for co-occurring patients. + Document medical necessity, confirm diagnoses, and support care transitions. + Provide individual counseling for patients with higher-level needs. + Deliver behavioral emergency assistance, including de-escalation and basic first aid, and report homicidal or suicidal behaviors. + Comply with all mandated reporting requirements. Required Skills & Competencies + Proficiency with charts, EMR systems, and medical terminology. + Strong knowledge of behavioral health and patient care practices. + Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in California. Qualifications + Master's degree in Social Work with current, unencumbered California LCSW license. + Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health. + At least 1 year working with individuals facing substance use challenges, or equivalent experience. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a team. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $111000.00 - $111000.00/yr.
