Job Description

Maintains all aspects of handling guest linens, including but not limited to preparing soiled linens for washing, finishing, inspecting, folding, and storing clean linens. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values, Mission Statement, and Ayres Way. Receiving, evaluating condition, separating, and laundering soiled linens from guest rooms. Examining laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability. Folding and/or pressing linens as appropriate. Reclaiming stained linens as needed. Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness of the laundry room. Storing folded laundered items in the linen room. Conducting linen inventories as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper. Keeping linen rooms clean, stocked, and orderly. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times. Reporting maintenance issues to the Executive Housekeeper by completing a work order. Following company Housekeeping Policy as stated in the Team Member Handbook. Adhering to the company "Lost and Found" policy and procedures. Performing duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Hotel Management Staff, which may include Room Attendant, House Attendant, and/or Public Areas Attendant duties. Maintaining necessary supplies to perform job duties. Working in a safe and conscientious manner, adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Knowledge/Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in a hotel or related field preferred. Knowledge of reading, writing, and speaking English is helpful. Physical Requirements: Long hours may be required. Heavy work involving exerting up to 35 pounds of force to pull/push and 25 pounds of force to push/pull periodically while moving and maintaining objects. Ability to stand during the entire shift.
