Job Description

Summary

As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will be support the finance team by assisting in the analysis and reporting on the financial data of the company both past and present. You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling and performance analysis efforts. The primary objective is to provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.

Essential Position Functions

  • Financial Reporting and Communication
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operational metrics reports
    • Support the development of budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans
    • Help analyze financial performance against targets and identify trends or variances
    • Contribute to the creation of financial models and scenario analyses to support decision making
    • Assist with month-end financial processes
  • Data Management and Insight Generation
    • Gather financial data and related information from various sources (internal databases, APIs, Pipedrive)
    • Perform data cleaning and data normalization to ensure consistency and comparability across datasets
    • Conduct data analysis to support financial insights
    • Assist in identifying relevant departmental and employee metrics
    • Help build and maintain Excel dashboards and tools
  • Strategic Initiative and Special Projects
    • Support accounting special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and drive process improvements
    • Learn and assist in automating routine reporting/forecasting tasks
    • Continuously engage in research to stay updated on financial industry trends, regulation, and best practices
Minimum Position Requirements

  • Education: BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics are preferred major fields
  • Experience: 0-2 years of relevant work experience in finance or data analysis
  • Strong interest in financial analysis and data driven decision making
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of financial statements and key metrics
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including Macros and PowerQuery
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
