Associates at Matrix work directly with other deal professionals to execute all facets of prospective and existing client engagements.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performance of financial and valuation analysis, including in-depth financial modeling and analysis of deal structures
Drafting/editing transaction marketing materials such as pitch books, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
Research of financial and strategic buyers
Procurement and vetting of all diligence materials, management of virtual data rooms, and coordination of relevant third-party work
Front-facing role in all other aspects of client engagements including regular interface with clients, communication with prospective buyers, participation in management meetings, etc.
Mentorship and oversight of analyst staff, management of Team workflow, and allocation of junior resources
Requirements:
2-5 Years Experience in Investment Banking
Bachelors degree in relevant studies
Strong academic track record with demonstrated proficiency in finance and/or accounting
Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities
Detail-oriented with a high degree of intellectual curiosity
Superior writing and strong verbal communications skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, transaction-focused team environment
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Must obtain applicable FINRA securities licenses within six months of employment
Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Holder of, or candidate for, any of the following designations or degrees: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
