Selby Jennings is partnering with a newly established investment bank backed by a heavily backed institution. They are looking for a driven Investment Banking Associate to join their Houston team. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with strong exposure to senior leadership and significant responsibility on live transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Support execution of M&A and capital raising transactions primarily in Industrials and select Consumer sectors.
• Prepare detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and client presentations.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage transaction timelines.
• Work closely with VPs, Directors, and MDs on lean deal teams.
• Assist in origination efforts and maintain client relationships.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of investment banking experience at a reputable middle-market or elite boutique firm.
• Demonstrated closed deal experience and ability to contribute immediately.
• Background in Industrials, Business Services, or Consumer sectors preferred.
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
• Highly motivated, collaborative, and willing to take initiative.
