Overview

We are looking for motivated interns to participate in an Insurance Internship program. Interns will take on a valued role within our Insurance Agency, where they will gain first-hand industry experience while growing their professional networks. In addition to professional and personal development, interns will have access to a variety of resources and will be encouraged to bring new ideas to the table. The program is designed to develop students for post-graduation success.


Responsibilities

Rotate throughout the various departments in the agency. Acquire a general understanding of how each area contributes to the agency objectives. Including but not limited to: reporting structure, purpose and scope, and financial impact.

The incumbent will work on various projects which may include:

• Renewal marketing
• Client and Sales presentations
• Database management
• Market Research
• Business Development
• Service Initiatives

The intern will attend Client meetings with expectations to support client deliverables and action items

Conduct pre-call company research, along with attending sales meetings

Summarize sales meetings and action items

Present a final presentation to be given to the management team at the end of the internship on a topic to be decided

Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.

Perform other duties as assigned.

HOURS: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm


This position will be fully onsite in Lansdale, PA


Qualifications

In pursuit of an undergraduate degree preferably in Risk Management, Employee Benefits or Human Resources

Ability to travel to all Insurance locations and external meetings

Strong communications, planning and organizational skills, along with professional appearance and a positive attitude

A team player who can be flexible and with an entrepreneurial spirit

Ability to prioritize tasks, make informed decisions and work independently

Microsoft Office proficiency

Ability to build relationships internal and external relationships

Developing knowledge of insurance coverages, products & services with Salesforce or CRM knowledge is a plus

Wage Range:

The salary for this position is $20.00/hr
