Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced senior electrical / electronics engineer to develop, document, and manage electronics and/or electrical components for our products. This role involves working closely with suppliers, securing cross-functional alignment, and delivering on product strategy roadmaps for complex components or large sets of less complex components. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge, strong supplier management skills, and a collaborative mindset to mentor and guide team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document electronics and/or electrical components.
  • Perform simulations and other analyses to support component development.
  • Define requirements for components and communicate them effectively to suppliers.
  • Manage relationships and operational responsibilities with suppliers, including work distribution and performance follow-up.
  • Recommend and evaluate new suppliers; participate in supplier selection processes.
  • Evaluate new components and make recommendations for internal adoption.
  • Ensure cross-functional and business alignment in component development.
  • Execute and deliver product strategy roadmaps for assigned components.
  • Lead the development of complex components and/or oversee a large set of less complex components.
  • Support junior engineers through coaching, training, and sharing knowledge.
  • Act as a role model for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Build and maintain strong networks within the wider organization.
  • Clearly articulate value creation within the assigned Technology Development (TD) or Business Area (BA).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in electrical/electronic component development.
  • Proven experience in supplier management and component evaluation.
  • Strong analytical, simulation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to mentor and coach team members.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills with a broad, T-shaped knowledge profile.
  • Strong business understanding and strategic thinking.
