Job Description

Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, creating, and optimizing Purdue Federal Credit Union's digital communications across email, website, and proprietary platforms. This role manages email marketing strategy and execution, including content writing, design, list management, scheduling, analytics, and testing. The Digital Marketing Specialist also oversees digital content on purduefed.com, digital banking, and application portals, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with Purdue Federal's brand voice. In addition, this role collaborates with internal teams and third-party vendors to enhance user experience, maintain accurate member information, and support digital banking upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Email Marketing and Digital Communication
  • Write content for mass email marketing communications.
  • Responsible for building and designing email marketing communications in Salesforce Email Studio.
  • Responsible for contact list management and email scheduling in Salesforce Email Studio.
  • Responsible for regular analytics, reports, and testing for email marketing.
  • Responsible for providing consistent communication through Purdue Federal's various digital communication platforms.
  • Work with third-party vendors to improve Purdue Federal's digital communication efforts.
  • Plan and execute digital communication plans for digital banking upgrades
  • Digital Content Management
  • Write and design consistent, easy-to-understand, and effective messaging on Purdue Federal's proprietary digital channels including purduefed.com, digital banking, and online application portals.
  • Work with third-party vendors to improve purduefed.com's design and user experience.
  • Responsible for designing, writing, and updating content for purduefed.com.
  • Responsible for writing articles on Purdue Federal's blog, Money Moves.
  • Responsible for regular analytics and reporting for purduefed.com.
  • Update branch availability and hours on Purdue Federal's various online platforms including Google Maps, Apple Maps, and purduefed.com.
Required Skills

Education Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Advertising or related field.
  • Experience

    • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in digital content writing, website content management, designing and email marketing.

    Additional Requirements

    • Proven ability to maintain a consistent brand voice while writing for various audiences.
    • Knowledge in website content writing and structure.
    • Knowledge of AP style formatting.
    • Experience in using email marketing platforms like Mailchimp, Hubspot, or Salesforce.
    • Experience in website analytic tools like Google Analytics.
    • Prior knowledge in personal finance topics a plus but not required. Must be willing to learn extensively.
    • Knowledge in basic HTML and CSS.
    • Experience with SEO practices a plus but not required.
    • High level of organization, attention to detail and proofreading.
    • Experience in design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, or Canva preferred.
    • Experience in using website content management systems (CMS).
    • Self-starter who is comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people.
    • Ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, in a professional manner when dealing with employees, members, vendors and company contacts.
