Deputy District Attorney – 7th Judicial District. With the plummeting depths of the Black Canyon National Park just to the east, the towering and majestic San Juan Mountains to the south, the expansive Uncompahgre Plateau to the west, lake-bejeweled Grand Mesa to the north, and an expansive water sport park right in the middle of town, Montrose is literally surrounded by an endless variety of prospects for exploration and adventure.

We are seeking Deputy District Attorney’s responsible for court cases in the 7th Judicial District. The 7th Judicial District consists of six counties in Western Colorado, including Montrose, Delta, Ouray, San Miguel, Gunnison, and Hinsdale Counties.

*Duties*:

Duties involve prosecuting felonies, traffic and misdemeanors, including domestic violence, DUIs, preparing dockets, warrant reviews, trials, hearings, motions, and pre-trial negotiations. This position provides the highest level of service to crime victims, It also requires consultations with defense counsel, law enforcement officers, and other judicial partners. Our office enjoys and supports a team environment.

*Requirements*:

· Must have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.

· Must be licensed to practice law in Colorado or eligible to practice in Colorado based on the required UBE score.

Full-time

*Salary:*

Salary: $84,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year DOQ plus benefits.
