Overview

This is an internship for the summer months designed to give students experience. This position is responsible for creating designs from customer requests for custom decks as well as maintaining a log of the work completed. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with maintenance of the 84 Website as well as assisting in various other department functions such as copying blueprints. The incumbent will also be called upon to help with materials list creation and package list maintenance.

• Create custom designs using design software, from customer drawings for garages, pole buildings, and decks.
• Maintain log of work completed.
• Assist with materials list creating and package list maintenance.
• Phone and e-mail contact with store associates
• Assist with web site maintenance as required
• Assist with department functions- blueprint copying, etc.

• Spreadsheet and Design Software
• Word Processing
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations.
