Position Overview The Commercial Roofing Estimator is responsible for assessing the costs and resources needed for commercial roofing projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers and contractors to prepare accurate and detailed estimates that align with project specifications and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various roofing materials and techniques, ensuring well-informed estimating processes.
Key Responsibilities - Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to clarify project details and requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information for estimates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new products related to roofing.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for potential clients.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in roofing estimation or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems including EPDM, TPO, and Shingle.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
