CLINICAL INFORMATICS NURSE SPECIALIST to join our
Nursing Informatics team
! The Clinical Informatics Nurse Specialist utilizes their specialized knowledge and skills to support and enhance the delivery of care across the continuum. Serves as a liaison to clinical stakeholders for the purpose of system selection, education, or enhancement of technology solutions. Conducts need assessments and current state analysis to inform selection of the most appropriate clinical solution. Apply clinical, analytical and technical expertise to support the design, analysis, implementation, and optimization of the systems affecting the delivery of patient care.
Pay Rate: $36.93 - $53.56
Schedule/Hours: Day Shift,with occasional weekend/evening coverage when needed.
FTE: 1.0 FTE full-time, 80 hours every pay period.
Flex FTE: NA
Off Premise On-Call: Occasional
Experience/Qualifications - Knowledge of clinical information systems design and application is normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum five years' experience as an RN required.
- Previous Clinical Informatics experience preferred.
- Previous teaching/training and project management experience. Participation in at least one clinical information systems implementation/go-live.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications required. Proficiency in use of Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Webex or GoToMeeting preferred.
- Implementation and upgrade experience with previous integrated health care information systems with emphasis on Clinical EMR applications/systems preferred.
- Possesses active Wisconsin, Minnesota or Michigan RN licensure.
- Current Epic Certification in one or more applications preferred.
- Strong organizational skills required and ability to concentrate while being subject to multiple interruptions and changing work priorities. Able to thrive in fast paced work environment under stress or in emergency/crisis situations.
