Chemical Plant Operator – Industrial Manufacturing (Confidential Employer)

Greensboro, NC

Up to $50/hr + Full Benefits  | Full-Time | Onsite

 

Are you someone who doesn’t mind getting your hands dirty? Do you take pride in doing hard work that matters? We’re looking for a dependable, safety-conscious  Chemical Plant Operator to join a tight-knit production team working to shift the culture at a well-established American specialty chemical manufacturer serving critical industries.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Operating and monitoring chemical processing equipment, including  chemical reactors and packaging systems.
  • Handling bulk raw materials such as oils, acids, and solvents
  • Recording process data and making routine operational adjustments
  • Loading and unloading tank trucks and railcars
  • Performing quality checks and keeping work areas clean and organized at all times
  • Supporting safe plant operations in a physically demanding environment

What You Should Know:

  • This is NOT light industrial work.  
  • It’s hot in summer, noisy at times, and involves working around chemicals and high- temperature/pressure equipment.
  • You’ll be on your feet, climbing stairs, wearing PPE, and working with materials that require caution, precision, and attention to detail.
  • Shift work may include weekends or overnights.

Qualifications: (Do not apply if you do not have these qualifications -  we will ignore you. )

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in chemical plant operations, including:
    • Blending and mixing
    • Chemical reactions, packaging, material handling, shipping and receiving of bulk chemicals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and cleanliness

Pay Factors That Justify $50/hr:

  • Experience with  hazardous or flammable materials
  • Direct experience in chemical reactions, blending, and bulk material handling.
  • Proven ability to operate  multiple unit operations independently
  • Willingness to work  rotating shifts or overtime
  • Familiarity with  batch documentation, ERP systems, and safety compliance standards (OSHA, PSM, etc.)
  • A prove track record or desire to  affect change among your peers and drive cultural shifts
