Department/Unit Summary
Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, determining staffing and assignments based on availability, skills, and patient needs. Provides direct patient care, when necessary, assists with problem-solving, and may take on patient assignments to support the team. Evaluates care effectiveness, addresses patient care concerns, and ensures proper protocols are followed. Oversee tasks such as admissions, discharges, and transfers, while ensuring staff have the necessary resources. Promotes evidence-based practices and fosters a professional, growth-oriented environment.
