Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Bobcat Operator / Asphalt Grade Crew Foreman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CDL-A license and have experience operating skid steer (Bobcat) machinery with various attachments. This role also requires strong leadership to supervise a small crew (1–3 employees) and ensure safety and efficiency on job sites.
Key Responsibilities:Operate Bobcat skid steer loaders with various attachments including forks, bucket, and grader with efficiency and precision
Lead, supervise, and support a small crew of 1–3 employees to meet daily job site objectives
Monitor team members to ensure compliance with company safety policies and best practices
Oversee grading and excavation operations to ensure proper site preparation for asphalt work
Communicate with site supervisors to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and maintain project timelines
Conduct basic daily equipment checks and maintenance to ensure operational safety
Maintain clean and organized job sites
Assist with other duties as needed related to grading and asphalt site preparation
CDL Class A License – Required and current
Proven experience operating skid steer (Bobcat) equipment with attachments
Prior experience in grading and/or excavation required
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of job site safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Ability to read grade stakes or use laser levels is a plus
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
