We are seeking a skilled Bindery Operator/Finishing Technician for our print shop
(Minuteman Press, Norwalk, CT)
Our production is print media ranging from catalogs, perfect bound books, marketing materials, custom stationery and speciality projects from corporate brand clients and businesses in Fairfield County and beyond.
Our ideal technician is experienced with Digital Cutters, Digital Creasers, MBO Folders, with Right Angle, Collators, Stitchers, Perfect Binding, Punching, and Round Corner/Drilling equipment with a knowledge of printed paper and card stocks and how these materials fit in during the process after printing through finishing.
Key attributes: Ensures materials are correctly cut, assembled or bound according to specifications.
A high attention to detail is required during inspection of all finished products for quality. Some routine maintenance on machinery and bindery equipment is part of our on going QC and delivering a top product to our clients.
Our shop is full service and include a few areas of specialty — Wide Format printing and finishing, custom signage and installation. On-site installations can be a huge benefit for someone that wants
to keep a high degree of variety utilizing their technical ability and applications.
We are a busy shop and work a regular work day and Monday through Friday. Due to the recent surge of new business — we are growing, and added a couple new digital presses and finishing equipment.
We have an exceptional reputation, clean environment, and have a friendly overall internal team.
Compensation : Top pay for the right person, commensurate with experience, ideally coming from a printing/finishing environment. With these recent developments and growing our internal team to meet the demands — overtime is available.
Fulltime — DOE ($55,000 – $60,000)
