We are seeking a skilled and student-centered Behavior Specialist to support a school setting in Toledo, OH. The ideal candidate will provide behavior interventions, collaborate with staff, and help create supportive learning environments that promote positive behavioral and academic outcomes.

School Behavior Specialist in Ohio

Location: Toledo, OH

Job Type: Full-Time, School-Based

Contract through the 25/26 school year – 32 to 40 hours per week

Compensation: $50–$55 per hour

Behavior Specialist Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct behavioral support to students individually and in small groups.
• Conduct behavioral assessments and assist in developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support teams to implement behavior strategies.
• Model and coach staff on behavior management techniques.
• Collect and analyze behavior data to monitor student progress.
• Participate in student support and intervention meetings.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive school environment.

Behavior Specialist Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a school team and follow behavior plans.
• Knowledge of behavioral strategies, de-escalation, and data collection.
